And this is no minor issue: in September 2023, a failure in the winch of a cargo ship at the Port of Santos (Brazil) ended in tragedy. During the anchoring maneuver, the hydraulic motor broke down and the brake system could not withstand the load, releasing the chain uncontrollably.
