At the the Palau de la Música in Barcelona, a landmark where the CataloniaBio & Health Tech Night was held on Tuesday, March 22, we were able to enjoy an interesting lecture by Josemaria Siota -Executive Director of Entrepreneurship and Innovation Center (IESE Business School )- who talked about the importance of new trends in corporate venturing. Mr Joan Puig, president of CataloniaBio & Health Tech ,mentioned the past and present achievements of the cluster and its projects, and the Honorable Mr. Josep Maria Argimon, conseller de Salut de la Generalitat de Catalunya, offered specific figures to illustrate the great relevance of the biomedical sector in Catalonia.
IMIDomics, a Vall d’Hebrón spin-off company that researches and develops new medicines for the treatment of inflammatory diseases, received the Bioèxit Award from the cluster.
The networking dinner offered us the opportunity to interact with some of the more than 200 representatives of the sector.
