Currently, haacon Hebetechnik GmbH is working closely with the Estonian Ministry of Defence (Kaitseministeerium – KMIN) on an ambitious international cooperation project.
As part of this initiative, haacon is supplying its high-precision, high-quality lifting technology, directly contributing to the modernization of military medicine (MILMED).
Within the framework of this project, the Estonian company Semetron is developing a Rapid Deployment Mobile Modular Hospital—a cutting-edge military medical system designed to provide specialized medical care during the “golden hour,” the first 60 minutes after an injury, when medical intervention is critical to survival.
Today, field hospitals are crucial not only in military settings but also in civilian disaster scenarios. From an etymological perspective, their origin was actually civilian (initially created for epidemics), later adapted to military contexts, and more recently, they have evolved into a key component in managing humanitarian emergencies. The concept of mobile hospital has undergone a significant transformation: from an improvised solution, it has become an advanced medical platform at the service of international aid.
The mobility of these systems brings about significant technical challenges. They are basically deployed in areas where infrastructure is limited or inexistent—on terrain covered with rubble, mud, sand, or rock. Everything must be transported in containers and setting them up is far more difficult than just placing them on the ground.
A mobile operating room, for instance, needs a solid foundation, precise levelling, and the ability to be adjusted on-site without the use of heavy machinery. To make this possible, the lifting systems must meet very specific demands: absolute reliability, intuitive operation, superior durability, and extreme resilience.
Haacon lifting equipment not only undergoes successfully all laboratory tests but also proves its performance in real-world conditions. This is only possible thanks to decades of experience and a continuous focus on technical improvement, aimed at providing practical and effective solutions in the most demanding environments.
