Improving water management is a fundamental pillar for achieving more sustainable development in Spain. This resource, essential for life and human activities, is under increasing pressure due to climate change, population growth, and the intensification of economic activities. In this context, moving toward more efficient, equitable, and sustainable water management is not only a necessity but also an opportunity to ensure the well-being of current and future generations.
In December 2024, the Council of Ministers approved a new amendment to the Direct Management Agreement of ACUAES, with an investment of €752 million for 15 initiatives: 10 for sanitation and treatment (€422M), 4 for water supply (€300M), and 1 for wastewater reuse.
The main projects include developments in Andalusia, Murcia, Castilla-La Mancha, Asturias, the Canary Islands, and Galicia, with highlights such as the sanitation of the Costa del Sol (€120M), the expansion of the Murcia-East WWTP (€84M), the Campo de Calatrava water supply system (€95M), and the improvement of sanitation in Las Palmas (€100M).

The implementation of treated wastewater reuse systems, as planned in the ACUAES projects, helps reduce pressure on natural resources and ensures a more consistent water supply, especially in water-stressed areas.
At INKO21, we offer a wide range of lifting systems specifically designed for this type of intervention, ensuring quality, efficiency, and adaptability to the needs of each project.
